Claire Fleury is an actress, writer and performer originally from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

After getting her Post Graduate degree at DasArts (Advanced Research in Theater and Dance Studies) in Amsterdam in 2000, she has been working non stop on writing, directing  and performing her own work, as well as collaborating with others.

She operated as a guest director for the Odd Enjinears in 2006, directing 'Drive', in which she also performed the lead role. She was a guest director at Hand Theater (theater for the deaf in Holland), where she conceived 'Hotel Alaska' , a show that 'moved the deaf and the hearing' according to reviews.

She was an actress in 4 shows by renowned Dutch Director Laura van Dolron, with the highlight of that collaboration being the BNG prize for best production in 2007.

Then she started writing her own one woman shows, of which the first one, 'All The Lonely People and me' received a grant from the Netherlands Fund For Performing Arts (NFPK) for the re run, calling it a 'successful show', and complimenting Claire on 'envisioning the dilemma's of her generation and placing them into striking perspective'.

Her next monologue 'A Woman of no Distinction' (De Vrouw Zonder Eigenschappen) was also honored with a grant from the same prestigious fund. This solo show opened in Amsterdam in March 2010 with the Dutch version, and was selected to be performed in English at the NYC Fringe Festival in August, as well as at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival in September. Press in NY said:  'recommended to anyone looking for something slightly different, often mind boggling, and even surprisingly comical in its existential observations' (theasy.com) 'Claire Fleury takes the audience on a distinctly thought-provoking journey' (NYTheatre.com).

Claire is currently traveling and writing, and training Korean Martial Art Hapkido, in which she holds a hubai high red belt.
