CURIOUS ORANGE

I Saw it I Liked it I Want it I Got it

CURIOUS ORANGE

I saw it I liked it I want it I got it

A modern day ‘Hungry Ghost’

An insatiable shopper,

fed by a global industry of greed,

speed and the illusion of endless choice

A haunting metaphor for

a consumer culture that consumes itself,

its surroundings,

and ultimately the earth it lives on

The title,

a phrase overheard on the street,

becomes both confession and indictment.

“I saw it, I liked it, I want it, I got it”

is a mantra of modern consumption,

echoing the emptiness

of want without need

Installation made

during my residency with

LMCC on Governors Island

September 2025.
